top ten stack day tips

Top Ten Stack Day Tips

1. Use the Stack of the Week, if you have that profession already, pick an
important one you don't have.

2. Stack Days are not scheduled, They start now and end when your chapter
reaches optimal size (your goal).

3. Thirty or more phone calls is best. If you chapter has less than thirty
people, consider more calls per person. It takes about 10 phone calls per
visitor.

4. Call only one profession per week. Two calls to the same profession is
better than one call to two different professions. The goal is to create an
interview process with several conflicting professionals. You are hiring the
best referral partner. You are offering them the opportunity to apply to be
your referral partner.

5. Members WILL forget their calls. The chapter must have one or two
members that remind the others to call. These members should be
dependable, strong members and not change. They are called the BULLDOGS.
Stack days without active bulldogs will not work.

6. Announce next week's stack at today's meeting. Have the Bulldog call the
members two business days before the meeting (in the morning) and again
the day before the meeting. The member should tell the bulldog who he
called.

7. Make sure the visitors know you are interviewing, so that they are not
surprised to see two or three others applying for the same position.

8. Consider a fun prize, such as the chapter pays for a one-to-one lunch
for the inviting sponsor with the new member (from stack). This can be a
tool to get that new member to hit the ground running and scheduled into
the msp program.

9. Let any applicants who are not accepted down respectfully by thanking
them and referring them to the local director for possible interview with
another chapter. Treating them professionally now will maintain a favorable
disposition toward your chapter and possible interest if the spot ever opens
again.

10. Process applications the day you receive them. One thiing that will
impress next week's visitors will be when you induct last week's applicants.
